We provide a top-quality rental experience at a competitive price, which Includes all fees! Free parking, safety equipment, and city launch fee. All at no extra cost! Crystal River is home to one of the largest manatee populations in the world. During the winter months hundreds of manatees congregate in the springs and you can't beat viewing these amazing animals up close from a stand up paddle board or kayak. Although Manatee season is during the winter time, resident manatees can still be spotted in the waterways year round. King’s Bay has more to offer than just manatees however, so whatever the time of year we'd love to get you out on the water to explore it! We have an excellent map so you can navigate the bay easily and save money by not paying for a guide. We will go over the map with you in detail before launch so you know how to get to the springs and where to look for manatees.

Q&A

Q: Do you have to be an experienced kayaker to enjoy this?

A: Not at all! The kayak rental is super beginner-friendly. The waterways around Crystal River are generally calm, and the staff will go over everything you need to know before launching. Just follow the map they provide, and you'll be fine. Plus, you might see manatees, which makes it even more fun!

Q: Is there a weight limit for the kayaks?

A: Yes, there is a weight limit of around 250-300 lbs for each kayak. It’s always good to check with the rental place directly to make sure you’ll be good to go. If you’re planning on going with a partner, keep that in mind!

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day we booked?

A: If the weather looks questionable, definitely give them a call ahead of time. They’re usually quite flexible about rescheduling if it's too windy or rainy. It's all about safety! I’d recommend checking the forecast a couple of days in advance.

Ready for my first manatee kayak trip in Crystal River!

I just booked a crystal river kayak rental to see manatees with some friends next month! I’m so excited but also a bit nervous since I’ve never kayaked before. We’re going in early December, so fingers crossed we spot some manatees! I heard it’s an amazing experience and that you can get pretty close to them. Does anyone have tips on what to wear or pack?

Just went kayaking in Crystal River - amazing experience!

I went kayaking last week and it was soooo worth it! We spotted like 10 manatees just chilling in the water. The staff was really helpful and gave us a great map. If you go, take your time and enjoy the scenery. Bring snacks too because you can spend hours out there. My friends and I had a blast!
