Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but they recommend kids 5 and up for the kayaks. It’s a calm experience, so younger kids can definitely come along as long as they’re comfortable in the water. Just keep in mind that parents should paddle with them for safety. If you’ve got little ones, I’d say go for it, but be ready to share some laughs if they hesitate!
A: Layers are your best bet! Mornings can be chilly in Crystal River, especially in winter, so I’d recommend a light jacket or a long-sleeve shirt. You can always take it off once the sun comes up. Don’t forget sunscreen and water shoes since you might get a little splashed. Trust me, you'll want to be comfy!
A: They’re pretty flexible with weather! Light rain is usually okay, but if it’s unsafe or there’s heavy rain, they’ll reschedule or issue a credit. Just make sure to check the forecast ahead of time. If you need to reschedule, it’s best to contact them as soon as possible to find a new spot.

Just booked the Sunrise Manatee Tour, super excited!
I finally decided to book the Sunrise Manatee Tour in Crystal River for my boyfriend’s birthday! We’re looking forward to paddling in those clear kayaks and hopefully spotting some manatees. I hear it’s serene in the morning, and Captain Scotty sounds like a great guide. Just hope the weather cooperates! Has anyone else done this? Any tips?
Had a blast on the Manatee Tour last week!
Just got back from the sunrise tour, and wow, it was incredible! We saw 3 manatees up close, and the guide was super friendly. The kayaks were really stable, and the morning light made everything look magical. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a chill outdoor experience. Just an fyi, there were a few alligators but they were nowhere near us!
