Q&A
A: Definitely wear something you don't mind getting a bit dirty! You’ll be working with copper and solder, so long sleeves are a good idea. The workshop provides all the protective gear, but you might want to bring an apron or old shirt just in case. Also, closed-toe shoes are a must!
A: Great question! The workshop is open to teens 14 and up, but younger kids are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Just keep in mind that it does involve some tools and soldering, so it’s best for those who can follow directions and focus for a couple of hours.
A: Yes, you can reschedule! Craftsman Ave is usually pretty flexible, but it’s a good idea to give them at least 48 hours' notice. They really want everyone to have a great experience, so just reach out to them directly if you need to change your date.

Just finished the copper lamp making class, and it was AMAZING!
I did the copper lamp workshop last weekend in Brooklyn, and wow, what a fun experience! I was a bit nervous about soldering, but the instructors were so chill and helped me every step of the way. I ended up making a lamp that looks super cool with an Edison bulb. Definitely a great gift for anyone who loves DIY stuff or needs a unique home decor piece!
Thinking about gifting the copper lamp making class—anyone done this?
I’m eyeing the copper lamp class for my brother. He loves artsy projects, but I’m not sure how beginner-friendly it really is. Any tips or recommendations? I want to make sure he has a good time!
