Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the Potomac Cruise portion of the tour?

A: There's no specific weight limit mentioned for the Potomac Cruise, but it’s best to check with the tour provider before booking. The boats are designed for large groups, so you should be fine as long as everyone follows safety protocols. Just remember to wear comfortable shoes since you’ll be doing quite a bit of walking throughout the day!

Q: What should I wear for the walking tour and boat cruise? Is it casual?

A: Definitely go for comfortable and casual! Sneakers or walking shoes are a must since you’ll be on your feet a lot. In the summer, lightweight clothing is best, but also consider bringing a light jacket for the boat since it can get breezy. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat too, especially on the cruise!

Q: Can you reschedule if plans change? How flexible is it?

A: Yes, you can reschedule! The tour provider is pretty accommodating, but it's best to give them a call as soon as you know you need to change your dates. They usually allow changes within a week of your original booking. Always a good idea to double-check their policy on their website too.

Thinking of gifting the DC Bus Tour with Potomac Cruise!

I'm looking for a unique gift for my parents and thought this tour would be perfect since they love history and sightseeing. Has anyone done it? I know it includes stops at the Lincoln and MLK Memorials, which they’d love! I’m just curious about the lunch options and if it’s worth upgrading to include the guided tour of Capitol Hill.

What’s the best time of year for the Potomac Cruise?

I really want to take this tour but I'm trying to figure out when to book it. I heard the cruise is only available mid-March to mid-October. Do you think it’s worth it to wait until spring or summer for the full experience? What’s it like in the off-season?
