Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids should be old enough to enjoy the experience since it involves a fair amount of walking. I took my 10-year-old, and he loved it! Just make sure they can handle the four-hour duration. The guide was super accommodating with questions too!
A: Definitely dress comfortably! Wear walking shoes since there will be a lot of walking. Check the weather before you go — if it’s rainy, a light jacket or umbrella might be handy. I went in September and ended up sweating a bit, so layers are a good idea too!
A: The hotel pick-up is really convenient! You just need to provide your hotel details when you book. They’ll give you a specific time to be ready. I stayed in a downtown hotel and they were right on time! Just make sure you're in the lobby a bit early.

Just did the DC Highlight Day Tour, and wow!
I just got back from the DC Highlight Day Tour and it was AMAZING! We saw all the major sites like the Lincoln Memorial and the Capitol. The guide was super knowledgeable and made it really fun. We had plenty of time at each location for photos and just soaking it all in. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting D.C. – I got this as a gift for my partner, and they loved it too!
Thinking about gifting the DC Highlight Day Tour!
I want to get this tour for my parents who are visiting D.C. next month. They love history and walking tours. Can anyone tell me if it’s suitable for older folks? My dad has a bit of trouble walking. Also, is it easy to find parking if they decide to drive instead?
