Top Shot Sportfishing Charters has been in business and catching fish since 1975. As a second generation captain it is my goal to ensure you have an excellent adventure catching fish and having fun aboard a comfortable 52' Hatteras. Very little time is wasted traveling to the fishing grounds and just two miles from the inlet we are fishing in deep water and targeting big game. Relax inside the air conditioned cabin or join the excitement in the cockpit targeting fish. Additionally there is plenty of space on the vessel to join the captain on the bridge. Any edible fish you catch the crew will filet and bag for you to take home to eat. When you arrive every aspect of the fishing charter has been taken care of and the first mate will cast the lines and we are off to the fishing grounds. We want you to have fun and catch fish aboard a very nice and clean sportfishing charter boat in a relaxed and fun atmosphere where a professional crew will guide you when reeling in the big one.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the fishing charters?

A: There's no strict age limit, but kids should be at least 5 or 6 to enjoy the experience. The crew is super friendly and great with kids, but just remember that it can get a bit rough out there. It’s best to check in with the captain before booking if you're bringing little ones!

Q: What should I wear for a day of deep sea fishing?

A: Definitely wear something comfortable and breathable. It can get sunny out there, so a hat and sunscreen are a must! I’d also recommend wearing non-slip shoes since the deck can get wet. Layers are good too—it can be cooler in the morning!

Q: How does rescheduling work if the weather gets bad?

A: If the weather's not cooperating, they’ll usually offer to reschedule your trip without any extra fees. Just call ahead and keep an eye on the forecast. It’s best to give them a few days notice if you can. They’re pretty flexible, but it depends on their schedule.

Thinking of booking the deep sea fishing charter for my dad's birthday!

I’ve been looking at the Top Shot Sportfishing Charters in Fort Lauderdale for my dad's birthday next month. The 52' Hatteras looks really spacious and comfortable. I know he loves fishing, and I want to make this a special day for him. Does anyone have tips on what to expect? And should I bring anything special?

Just got back from deep sea fishing in Fort Lauderdale!

OMG, we had the best time on the 52' Hatteras with Top Shot! Caught a huge mahi-mahi! The crew was super professional and made it so fun. They really know the waters. We were fishing within minutes from the inlet. I recommend bringing a hat and sunscreen. Can't wait to grill up the fish we caught!
