Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids on the whale watching sail?

A: There's no strict age limit for kids, but it's better for them to be at least 5 or 6 so they can enjoy the experience and understand the info the guides share. They might need to sit still for a bit, so younger kids might not have as much fun. Plus, the crew is great with families and can help keep kids engaged!

Q: Is this a good experience for someone who gets seasick easily?

A: If you're prone to seasickness, I'd recommend taking some motion sickness medication before the trip. The boat is generally stable, but the ocean can be unpredictable. Try to choose a seat in the middle and keep your eyes on the horizon. Many people who usually get seasick enjoyed the trip just fine after taking precautions!

Q: Can I reschedule if I can't make the original booking?

A: Yes, you can reschedule! Just make sure you contact the Pacific Whale Foundation at least 48 hours before your trip to change your booking. They’re usually pretty accommodating. Just keep an eye on their policy in case they change it.

Just got back from the whale watching sail! Wow!

I went on the Deluxe Whale Watching Sail last weekend in Maui and it was AMAZING! The crew was super knowledgeable and we saw so many whales, including a mom and her calf! The lunch was delicious too - I can’t stop thinking about that triple chocolate chip brownie. The whole experience was worth it, even with the waves throwing us around a bit. Highly recommend for anyone visiting!

Thinking of gifting the whale watching experience to my parents!

My parents love nature and I think this whale watching sail would be perfect for them! I'm just a bit worried about how they'll handle the boat ride. They’re in their late 60s. Has anyone done this with older family members? How was the experience?
