Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the Diamond Head hike? Is it a tough trail?

A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes with good grip, like hiking boots or sturdy sneakers. The trail has some steep sections and a staircase, so you want to be sure you're stable. Light, breathable clothing is best since it can get warm while you're hiking, especially in the sun. Oh, and don't forget sunscreen!

Q: Can I reschedule the hike if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, Kaimana Tours is usually pretty flexible with rescheduling if the weather looks bad. Just give them a call or shoot them an email a day or so in advance. They want everyone to have a great experience, and safety comes first!

Q: Is this hike good for kids? What's the age limit?

A: Absolutely! The Diamond Head hike is pretty family-friendly. Kids as young as 6 or 7 can usually handle it, but just keep an eye on them on the steeper parts. It’s a great way to get them outdoors and into some history too. Just be sure they have enough water!

Just did the Diamond Head hike and WOW, what a view!

I went on the Diamond Head hike last week with Kaimana Tours and it was incredible! The views of Waikiki from the top are absolutely breathtaking, especially during sunrise. The history of the crater was really interesting too. I definitely recommend bringing a camera. It’s not too difficult, but that staircase is a workout! Anyone else have tips for the best time to go?
