Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit for this experience! It’s suitable for all ages, but keep in mind that some parts of the tour might involve a bit of walking, especially around the beaches and Cannery Row. The vehicle is comfortable and air-conditioned, so they should have a nice time, just ensure they wear comfy shoes.
A: The ideal time to go is from late spring to early fall, like May to October. The weather's usually nice, and you'll catch some stunning sunset views along the coast! Just check the forecast, as coastal weather can be a bit unpredictable.
A: Casual attire is totally fine! I'd suggest layering, as it can get chilly near the coast and warmer inland. Definitely bring a light jacket and comfy shoes for walking around. You’ll want to be comfortable for the beach stops and the 17-Mile Drive.

Just got back from the Monterey tour - it was awesome!
I gifted my boyfriend the Discover Monterey experience for his birthday, and we had the best time! We started off in San Francisco and the drive along Hwy 1 was breathtaking! The guide was super knowledgeable about all the spots, and we got to see sea otters and even a group of dolphins! The 17-Mile Drive was just as stunning, and we stopped for a lovely lunch in Carmel. Totally recommend this for anyone who loves beautiful scenery!
Considering the Monterey tour for my parents - worth it?
I’m shopping for a gift for my parents’ anniversary and stumbled upon the Discover Monterey experience. They love nature and history, and I think they'd enjoy the aquarium and the coastal drive. Have any of you took this tour? Was it worth it or should I look for something else?
