Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for this tour? Can kids join?

A: No specific age limit! This tour is designed for all ages, so kids are definitely welcome. In fact, it can be a fun educational experience for them to learn about Providence's history and landmarks. Just keep in mind that there are some parts where kids might need to stay close, especially when we stop for pictures.

Q: What should we wear for the tour? Is it a lot of walking?

A: Comfortable clothing is best! You’ll be mostly on the bus, but there are stops where you’ll get out to walk around. I’d recommend wearing shoes you can easily walk in, just in case! Also, check the weather since it might be chilly in the morning or evening, especially near the State House.

Q: Can we reschedule if something comes up? How flexible is that?

A: Yes, rescheduling is pretty flexible! If you give them at least 48 hours' notice, they’ll work with you to find a new date. Just make sure to check their terms when you book. They’re usually pretty understanding and want to make sure you enjoy your tour.

Just did the Discover Providence tour—what a blast!

I took the Discover Providence Guided Sightseeing Tour last weekend and it was amazing! The bus was super comfy, and our guide was really knowledgeable. We got to see College Hill and even stopped near Brown University for a quick photo op, which I loved. Plus, the stories he told about the city’s history were fascinating. I can see why it’s a great gift idea!

Thinking about gifting the Providence Tour for my parents—worth it?

My parents love learning about history and local culture, so I’m considering the Discover Providence tour as a gift for their anniversary. The price is right (free?), and I’m intrigued by the idea of a guided bus tour. Has anyone done it? What was your experience?
