Q&A

Q: What are the age limits for the snorkeling experience? Can kids participate?

A: Kids can absolutely join in on the fun! The experience is generally suitable for children aged 5 and up, but it's best to check with Ohana Ocean Connections directly for specific age restrictions. They provide life jackets and have a great safety record, so kids will feel secure while exploring the reefs. Just make sure you bring sunscreen and swimwear!

Q: What's the cancellation policy if the weather is bad?

A: Ohana Ocean Connections has a flexible cancellation policy. If weather conditions are unsafe, they'll usually reach out to reschedule or offer a full refund. It's always good to keep an eye on the forecast a few days prior to your tour. If you're uncertain, give them a call; they’re super helpful!

Q: What should I wear for the snorkeling tour?

A: Definitely wear your swimsuit! Layers are good too because it can get a bit chilly after snorkeling. Water shoes or sandals are a must, plus a rash guard for sun protection. The guides provide high-end snorkel gear, but don’t forget your sunscreen and a hat for before and after the water.

Thinking about the Double Reef Snorkel experience in Kona!

I’m planning to book the Double Reef Snorkel and Dolphin Watch for my girlfriend’s birthday next month. I’ve heard amazing things about the coral reefs and seeing the spinner dolphins. We love water activities! Has anyone done this? Any tips on what to expect? Is it crowded?

Just did the Double Reef Snorkel and it was incredible!

OMG, we had such a great time on the Double Reef Snorkel tour! The reefs were stunning, and we saw so many fish and even a couple of honus! The guides were really friendly and made sure everyone was safe. Highly recommend bringing your own snacks, though—what they provided was nice, but I was hungry after! Can't wait to do it again!
