Q&A
A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather is unfavorable. Just contact Asheville Free Walking Tours, and they’re usually pretty flexible about finding a new date. It’s best to check the weather forecast ahead of time, though, since they’ll want to keep you safe and dry!
A: Wear comfortable shoes since you'll be walking quite a bit! Asheville’s streets can be uneven, so good footwear really helps. I recommend dressing in layers, too, because it can get warm while walking but cooler in the shade.
A: Absolutely! The tour is family-friendly and it's a great way for kids to learn about Asheville's history. Just keep in mind that younger kids might get tired after a while, so plan accordingly. The guide often makes it fun and engaging for all ages.

Just did the Asheville Walking Tour and loved it!
I went on the Downtown Asheville Tip-Based Walking Tour last weekend, and it was awesome! Our guide was super knowledgeable and took us to some great historical sites like the Basilica of St Lawrence. I loved that we got a free beer tasting at Twisted Laurel! The best part was learning about the underground tunnels at Pack's Tavern — so cool. If you’re considering this as a gift, it’s definitely worth it!
Thinking about gifting the walking tour — any tips?
I want to surprise my boyfriend with the Downtown Asheville walking tour for his birthday. He loves exploring new cities and this seems like a fun way to see Asheville! Has anyone done this? What should I know before I buy?
