Flagstaff’s original ghost tour since 2015. Award-winning guides lead you by downtown’s most haunted landmarks, from the Monte Vista Hotel to stories most locals have never heard. 1,000+ five-star reviews. Voted Best of Flagstaff 2023, 2024, & 2025. TripAdvisor’s #1 nightlife experience three years running. There’s a reason people keep coming back and a reason certain guests say the ghosts followed them home. We’re locally owned and operated by the people who wrote the books on this town’s dark side. Co-founder Susan Johnson is the author of Wicked Flagstaff, Haunted Flagstaff, and The Walkup Family Murders. You’ll hear about the phantom bellboy at the Monte Vista Hotel, how John Weatherford came to Flagstaff to build his fortune, and the dark history of Wheeler Park that most Flagstaff residents don’t know. And then there’s the Marie Walkup case. We won’t spoil it here, but it’s the story that made Susan write a whole book.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Haunted History Tour?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but I'd recommend it for ages 12 and up. The stories can get a bit intense for younger kids. If you're bringing someone younger, just make sure they're okay with ghost stories! Also, keep in mind that it's a walking tour, so kids should be able to handle that too.

Q: What should I wear for the tour? It sounds like it might get chilly.

A: Definitely dress in layers! Flagstaff can get pretty chilly in the evenings, especially if you're walking around for an hour. I'd suggest wearing comfortable shoes since you'll be walking about a mile. A light jacket or hoodie is a good idea, too. Just be prepared for some spooky surprises along the way!

Q: Can the tour be rescheduled if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, they have a pretty flexible rescheduling policy! If the weather looks really bad, you can contact them to move your tour to another date. Just make sure to check their policies on the site for more details. They want everyone to have a great experience, even if it’s raining ghosts!
