Q&A
A: Yes, kids can definitely join the Downtown Honolulu Food Tour! It’s a fun way for families to explore the local culture and flavors. However, just keep in mind that some tastings may be more appealing to adults, but there's usually enough variety that kids will find something they love. I took my 10-year-old, and he had a blast!
A: Dress comfortably! You’ll be walking a bit, so wear some good shoes. I’d recommend light, breathable clothes since it can get hot in Waikiki. Don't forget sunscreen and maybe a hat! I did this tour in shorts and a tank top which worked perfectly.
A: If it rains, the food tour typically goes on unless there are severe weather warnings. The guide will let you know if there’s a change. I did it during a light drizzle, and it was still awesome! Just be sure to bring an umbrella or poncho, just in case.

Just did the Downtown Honolulu Food Tour - Here’s my take!
I recently went on the Downtown Honolulu Food Tour, and wow, it was a delicious experience! We started at King David Kalākaua's Statue, and our guide was super knowledgeable about the history of the area. The malasadas were a sweet highlight for me! Also loved the poke bowls, so fresh and tasty. This would make a fantastic gift for any foodie or someone new to Oahu!
Thinking of gifting the Food Tour to my sister!
I’m looking to surprise my sister with the Downtown Honolulu Food Tour experience. She loves trying new foods, so I think this would be perfect! I’m just a bit worried about the walking part. Is it a lot of walking or pretty easy-going?
