Q&A

Q: Is this walking tour good for kids? What age is recommended?

A: The Downtown Manhattan Walking Tour is generally suitable for older kids, maybe 10 and up. It can be a lot of walking and the topics can get heavy, especially with the 9/11 discussion. But if your kids are curious and can handle some history, they might really enjoy it! Just make sure they have comfortable shoes!

Q: What should I wear for this walking tour? Any tips?

A: Definitely wear comfy shoes since you'll be walking a lot! The weather can change, so dressing in layers is a good idea. Also, bring a light jacket or an umbrella if rain is predicted. New York weather can be unpredictable!

Q: Can this tour be rescheduled easily? What’s the policy?

A: Yeah, rescheduling is usually pretty easy! Just reach out to Manhattan Greeterz Walking Tours at least 48 hours in advance. They’re pretty flexible, but it’s good to give them a heads-up. Just keep in mind that weekends can fill up fast!

Thinking about gifting the Downtown Manhattan Walking Tour!

Hey everyone! I'm considering this walking tour for my dad's birthday. He loves history and I think the guide's personal stories about 9/11 would really resonate with him. Has anyone done this tour? How was it? Also, is it a good length? I don’t want him to be walking around for hours if it’s not engaging.

Just finished the Downtown Manhattan Walking Tour!

Wow, what an experience! I went on this tour last weekend and it was way better than I expected. Our guide, who was actually there on 9/11, shared some personal stories that totally changed how I view the area. The walking part wasn't too strenuous either. Definitely recommend it for anyone visiting NYC! Worth every minute.
