Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this walking tour?

A: There isn't a specific age limit, but I'd suggest this tour is best suited for kids who are at least 10 years old. The walking part involves some historical details that might be more engaging for older kids and teens. I brought my 12-year-old, and they loved it! Just make sure they can walk for about 2 hours.

Q: What do you wear for this tour? Is it casual or more formal?

A: Definitely dress casual! I wore comfy shoes and layered clothes since the weather can change quickly in Sitka. It was a bit chilly when we started, but warmed up later. Just be prepared for some walking on uneven surfaces too.

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather's not good?

A: Yes, they've got a flexible rescheduling policy! If the weather’s bad, you can easily contact them to pick another day. I had to reschedule due to rain, and they were super accommodating. Just make sure to check the forecast ahead of time!

Thinking of gifting the Sitka History Walking Tour - any tips?

I’m considering this for my dad’s birthday next month! He loves history, and I think a personalized tour of Lincoln Street would be perfect. What do you all think? Is the chocolate at the end as good as it sounds? Any tips on what else I should know before booking?

Anyone else loved the Sitka History Tour?

Just finished the Downtown Sitka History Walking Tour and wow, it was amazing! Our guide was a local with tons of stories about the Russian occupation and meeting local artisans was a cool bonus. The chocolate at the end was just the cherry on top! I really recommend it.
