Q&A

Q: Can we bring kids along on this driving tour? Are there age limits?

A: You can definitely bring kids along! There aren't any specific age limits, and the tour is pretty family-friendly. Just keep in mind that some of the beaches and lookout spots might be better suited for older kids who can handle a bit of hiking. It’s a great way to explore Lake Tahoe together!

Q: What’s the best time of year to do this tour? Does it get crowded?

A: The best time is definitely late spring to early fall for the best weather and views! Summer can get a bit crowded, especially on weekends, but if you go early in the morning or on a weekday, you’ll enjoy a more peaceful experience. Just be sure to check for any possible road closures in winter!

Q: What should we wear for the driving tour? Is there a lot of walking involved?

A: Dress comfortably! You'll be in the car for a bit, but if you plan on stopping at the beaches or hikes, wear comfy shoes and maybe bring layers since it can get chilly by the water. No major walking is required unless you decide to hike to the lookout, which is definitely worth it for the views!

Thinking about gifting the Lake Tahoe driving tour experience!

I’m considering this self-guided audio tour from Tahoe City to Incline Village for my parents. They love scenic drives and history! I’m a bit worried if it’ll be engaging enough. Has anyone done this? What did you think?

Just finished the Lake Tahoe driving tour – what a gem!

I took the driving tour last weekend and it was so worth it! The views from the Mount Rose Overlook were breathtaking. We stopped at Kings Beach for a picnic and it was perfect. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a chill yet informative experience.
