Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Big 5 Safari?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but it's recommended for kids aged 6 and older. They need to be able to sit quietly during the drives. Just make sure they can follow the ranger's instructions since safety is key!

Q: What should I wear for the safari? Is it hot in the morning?

A: Layering is key! Mornings can be chilly (especially at 5 AM), so wear a light jacket and then something breathable underneath. Neutral colors are great for blending in. And don’t forget a hat and sunscreen!

Q: Can I reschedule if I can't make it on the booked day?

A: Yes! You can usually reschedule as long as you give them a notice of at least 48 hours. Just reach out to their customer service, and they’ll help you out.

Just got back from the Big 5 Safari, and WOW!

I took the Big 5 Safari in the exclusive reserve near Durban last month, and it was incredible! We saw lions, rhinos, and even a leopard during our morning drive. The guides were super knowledgeable, and the 3-hour drives were filled with excitement. Make sure to bring binoculars if you have them, though they do provide some. Just be ready for an early start!

Thinking of gifting the Big 5 Safari experience - any tips?

I’m considering gifting the Big 5 Safari to my partner for their birthday. I’ve heard great things about it, but I’m a bit nervous about the early morning start. Is it worth it? Any recommendations on how to prepare?
