Nothing says Christmas like Dyker Heights, the most famous display of lights on the planet. Locals have been decorating their homes—personally and professionally—since the '80s, making it a true NYC winter wonderland. THE TOUR WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN or SHINE! The ride from Midtown to Dyker Heights in Brooklyn is about an hour long on board of our comfortable coach fully heated with a restroom on board. Your guide will escort you to Lucy Spata's house, the house that started this tradition, and walk you through the most illuminated streets before taking you back to the bus. You will spend about an hour in Dyker Heights strolling around and taking pictures. The next stop will be at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge in the DUMBO/Brooklyn Heights area of Brooklyn. You will have about 25 minutes to take pictures of the breathtaking Manhattan skyline and the Bridge. Then you will return to Manhattan via the Manhattan Bridge. The tour ends at the Bryant Park Winter Village.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour? I want to take my 7-year-old!

A: There's no strict age limit for the Dyker Heights tour! It’s pretty family-friendly, and kids usually love the lights and decorations. Just make sure to keep an eye on them while you’re walking around since it can get crowded. Also, the bus is super comfy, so they should be fine on the ride too!

A: Yes! The tour runs rain or shine, so you can feel secure about your plans. They have a heated bus, and the lights look magical even in the rain. Just bring an umbrella and enjoy the festive atmosphere!

Q: How long do we actually spend at Dyker Heights? Is it enough time?

A: You’ll spend about an hour exploring Dyker Heights, which is plenty of time to stroll around and snap some pics. The guide shows you the highlights, so you won't miss the best houses. Just enough to enjoy without feeling rushed!

Just did the Dyker Heights Christmas Lights Tour and WOW!

I can’t believe how amazing the Dyker Heights Christmas Lights tour was! We went last weekend and the lights really are something else—Lucy Spata’s house is a must-see. The bus ride from Midtown was nice too, especially since it was cold outside. The stop in DUMBO was the cherry on top with that skyline view! Can’t recommend this enough if you’re looking for a festive outing. Perfect for families or anyone who just loves Christmas vibes!

Considering the Dyker Heights tour as a gift - thoughts?

I’m thinking of gifting the Dyker Heights Christmas Lights tour to my sister and her kids. They love Christmas lights and I’ve heard great things about this tour! Just curious if anyone has done this recently? What’s the best part? Is it worth the ticket price?
