Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for the e-bike rentals?

A: There aren't strict age restrictions for renting the e-bikes, but generally, riders need to be at least 16 years old to ride an e-bike independently. Younger riders can use the youth bikes available (20 and 24 inches), and it's best to check with PortCity Bike Tours for specific requirements! Just call ahead if you're unsure.

Q: What happens if it rains on the day of our rental?

A: If it rains, you can usually reschedule your rental at no extra cost. Just contact PortCity Bike Tours as soon as possible to find a new time that works for you. They’re pretty flexible and want you to have a great experience!

Q: What's a good route to take for first-timers? Is it hard to navigate?

A: For first-timers, I recommend starting at Prescott Park and then riding along the waterfront. It's super scenic, mostly flat, and has plenty of spots to stop for photos or a snack. The provided map from PortCity Bike Tours makes navigation easy, so don’t worry too much about getting lost!

Just booked the e-bike rental for my anniversary! Any tips?

Hey everyone! I just snagged a 3-hour e-bike rental for my partner and I in Portsmouth to celebrate our anniversary! We’re planning to explore the waterfront and maybe grab lunch at one of the cute spots I’ve seen online. Any recommendations on routes or places to stop along the way? Also, what should we wear? I’m so excited!

Thinking about gifting this experience!

I’m considering getting the e-bike rental for my sister’s birthday. She loves outdoor activities and biking but has never tried e-bikes. Do you think this would be a good gift? Also, any idea how hard it is to ride?
