Seeing the Florida Keys on an e-bike is VIP style type of experience. We recommend the paved trail on the side of US-1 spanning from MM110 to MM94 for Key Largo, ocean side. It's safe and you will share with walkers/runners. You can also ride on a few sections of paved trail on the bay side, but it's not available everywhere in Key Largo. Getting into Tavernier: Just like in Key Largo, continue riding the paved trail on the side of US-1 spanning from MM94 to MM89, ocean side. It's safe and you will share with walker/runners. Feel free to take a left turn on Burton Dr and explore Harry Harris Park. Islamorada: Take the Old Hwy (Old US-1). Make a full stop at each STOP sign: it's the law !

Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for renting the e-bikes?

A: There aren't strict age limits, but riders should be at least 16 years old to operate an e-bike on their own. If you have younger kids, you might want to check if they offer tandem bikes or something similar. It's best to call ahead just to confirm!

Q: What if the weather's bad on the day we planned to ride?

A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, you can usually reschedule without a penalty. Just check with the provider, Bike the Florida Keys, a day or two ahead. They’re pretty flexible and understanding about cancellations due to bad weather!

Q: What should we wear while riding the e-bikes in the Keys?

A: I'd suggest wearing comfy athletic clothes and definitely sunscreen! The sun can be really intense, especially if you’re out for a while. Also, wear closed-toe shoes; sandals might not be safe on the e-bikes. A hat and sunglasses wouldn't hurt either!

Just did the E-Bike Rental in the Florida Keys, and wow!

I took my friends to do the e-bike rental in Key Largo last weekend, and it was AMAZING! We rode the paved trail from MM110 to MM94, and the views of the ocean were breathtaking. It felt so nice to just cruise along with the sea breeze. I highly recommend stopping by Harry Harris Park for a quick break. Just be sure to bring sunscreen because we definitely underestimated the sun!

Considering gifting an E-Bike experience in the Keys!

I’m thinking about getting an e-bike rental experience for my sister's birthday since she loves biking. She's a bit of a beginner though. Is the trail easy enough for someone who's not super experienced? Also, any tips on what route to take?
