Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for the Speakeasy experience?

A: Yes, the Speakeasy experience is designed for those aged 21 and over since it involves alcohol. Make sure to bring a valid ID as you'll need it to enter some of the bars. It's a fun night out, but definitely not for anyone underage.

Q: Is it easy to find the locations of these speakeasies? I’d hate to get lost in NYC!

A: Not to worry! The guides from Alex's tours are super knowledgeable and will lead you right to each spot. They also give you a backstory on the bars, which is really cool. Just follow their lead, and you'll be fine! And don’t forget to wear comfy shoes since you might do a bit of walking.

Q: What should I wear for this experience? Are there any dress codes?

A: Most speakeasies in NYC have a casual yet stylish vibe. I'd suggest going for smart casual—like nice jeans and a button-up for guys, or a trendy dress for gals. Just keep in mind that some places can be a little fancier, so it’s best to check the dress code in advance if you’re hitting a specific bar.

Just did the East Village Speakeasy experience and WOW!

I went on the East Village Speakeasy tour last weekend and it was incredible! They took us to three hidden bars, and each one was unique. The cocktails were amazing and the vibe was just right. Our guide was super friendly and shared awesome stories about the history of speakeasies in NYC. I booked it for my boyfriend’s birthday, and he loved it! Anyone else tried this? I’d love to hear your experiences!

Thinking about gifting the Speakeasy experience—any tips?

I’m considering getting the East Village Speakeasy experience as a gift for my friend’s anniversary. I know she loves trying new cocktails, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the price. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s done it! Was it a good experience? And are the speakeasies really that special?
