Q&A
A: There’s really no strict age limit for the Eklutna Lake Adventure Sampler, but keep in mind that kids should be at least 8 years old to participate in the activities. They need to be able to handle a bike or kayak comfortably. If you're bringing younger kids, I'd recommend the hike since it’s a bit easier on them. Also, they should be able to wear a life jacket and follow safety instructions.
A: Good question! Layering is key for the Eklutna Lake trip. It can get chilly, especially since it’s glacial water. I’d recommend wearing moisture-wicking clothes, a light jacket, and definitely some sturdy water shoes. Bring a hat and sunglasses too because the sun can be super bright off the water.
A: Yes! Lifetime Adventures is pretty flexible with rescheduling due to weather. If the conditions aren't safe, they'll give you options to move your booking. Just make sure to contact them as soon as you know you need to change things up. They’re really understanding and want everyone to have a great experience.

Just went on the Eklutna Lake Adventure Sampler - Amazing!
I just did the Eklutna Lake Adventure Sampler last weekend and it was a blast! We did kayaking and hiking. The views of the turquoise lake are unreal! Our guide was super knowledgeable about the history of the area, which made the hike so much more interesting. The sandwich lunch was tasty too! Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Anchorage. Just a heads up, wear good shoes - some parts of the trail were a bit muddy.
Thinking of gifting the Eklutna Lake Adventure Sampler!
I’m considering getting this experience for my boyfriend’s birthday. He loves the outdoors and I think this would be perfect! Has anyone done the biking part? I want to make sure it’s not too difficult since he’s more of a casual rider. Any tips for making it a special day?
