Q&A
A: It's a good idea to dress in layers! Mornings can be chilly, especially on the water, so a light jacket or sweater is recommended. Comfortable shoes are a must since you might be moving around the boat a bit. Don't forget sunglasses and sunscreen, too, because the sun can be intense when it comes out!
A: If the weather looks iffy, just contact Monterey Bay Eco Tours directly as soon as you can. They’re really good about rescheduling due to weather. Just keep an eye on the forecast because they might cancel if it’s too rough out, but they’ll help you get a new date that works.
A: Yes! The Elkhorn Slough Wildlife Tour is great for kids and families. There’s no specific age limit, but keep in mind that children should be supervised and able to follow safety instructions. The tour guides do a fantastic job engaging with younger guests, making it fun for all ages!

Thinking about gifting the Elkhorn Slough Wildlife Tour – what do you think?
I found this Elkhorn Slough Wildlife Tour and I'm considering it for my parents' anniversary. They love nature and wildlife, plus it’s in Monterey, which they adore. It’s supposed to be a 2-hour trip on a cool electric boat! Has anyone done it? Any tips or experiences to share?
Elkhorn Slough Wildlife Tour was AMAZING!
Just got back from the Elkhorn Slough Wildlife Tour yesterday. It was beyond expectations! We saw otters, sea lions, and tons of birds. The electric boat was so quiet, which made it feel super immersive. Plus, the guide was a marine biologist and shared a ton of cool info. Highly recommend it for families or anyone who loves nature!
