Q&A
A: Yes, kids are definitely welcome on the Emerald Bay boat tours! It's a family-friendly experience, and many people bring their children along to enjoy the scenic views and swimming. Just make sure to bring life jackets for younger kids, as they are required by law. Overall, it’s a fun outing for the whole family!
A: Layering is key! Even in summer, it can get chilly on the water, especially in the morning and evening. I'd recommend wearing a light jacket or sweater, along with comfy clothes and shoes that can get wet. Don't forget your swimsuit if you plan to swim at one of the stops!
A: Yes, the tours can be canceled if there's severe weather, especially if it’s stormy or too windy. However, they usually notify you a day in advance if there are concerns. If it does get canceled, you can easily reschedule for another day!

Just got back from the Emerald Bay boat tour – amazing experience!
I went on the Emerald Bay Private Sightseeing Boat Tour last weekend, and it was absolutely stunning! We departed from Tahoe Keys Marina, and the views of Fannett Island and Eagle Falls were breathtaking. The captain was super friendly and even let us stop for a swim in that gorgeous Caribbean-colored water. I highly recommend bringing snacks and drinks, as we anchored at a beautiful cove. Perfect for a summer outing!
Thinking of gifting the Emerald Bay tour for my dad's birthday!
I’m considering the Emerald Bay Private Sightseeing Boat Tour as a gift for my dad's birthday. He loves the outdoors and hasn’t seen Lake Tahoe yet. I’m worried about him being seasick, though. Has anyone experienced that? Also, do you think this tour is suitable for older folks?
