Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this kayak trip?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids should be at least 5 years old to participate. The kayak is pretty stable and the guides are great with kids. Just make sure they can follow safety instructions and wear the life jacket properly. It’s an awesome family activity!

Q: What’s the best time of year for this kayak trip? I’m thinking of gifting it for summer.

A: Summer is definitely a popular time, but it can get pretty hot out there. Spring and fall are ideal since the temperatures are milder—around 70-80°F. You’ll see more wildlife then too! Just be sure to check if they have any special offerings during those seasons.

Q: What should we wear for the kayak trip? Any recommendations?

A: Dress in layers! It can get chilly in the morning, but you’ll warm up quickly. Quick-dry clothing is ideal, and don’t forget a hat and sunglasses! Water shoes or sandals that can get wet are a must. Also, sunscreen is key since you’ll be out in the sun for a bit.

Thinking of gifting the Emerald Cave Kayak Trip—any thoughts?

I’m considering giving the Emerald Cave Kayak Trip as a birthday gift! It sounds amazing paddling through the Black Canyon and checking out the cave. I love that it’s only four miles round trip, so it’s not too intense. Has anyone done this? What was it like? Would it be good for a beginner?

Emerald Cave Kayak Trip experience—more than I expected!

Just got back from the Emerald Cave Kayak Trip and wow! The water really is that emerald green! The snacks were a nice touch and the guides shared cool info about the canyon. Saw some wild bighorn sheep too! I’d totally recommend this as a gift. Such a fun experience!
