Important - Seasonal Water Level Notice. As of February 1, 2026, due to critically low water levels in the Everglades area north of Tamiami Trail, the airboat activity in this area may be temporarily suspended or adjusted. In such case, the tour will be operated at an alternative authorized Everglades location. The airboat duration may be 45-50 minutes, and islands stops may not be available depending on water conditions. Inside the Indian reservation, board a small open-air airboat with elevated seats—far more personal than the 50+ passenger boats. Gliding across pristine wetlands, from sawgrass prairies to cypress swamps, and stop at two private islands now home to rescued alligators and turtles. The second one is where the family once lived. Short boardwalk. Learn about the Miccosukee traditions during the ride.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the airboat tour? I'm thinking about gifting this to my niece who is 10.

A: There isn't a strict age limit for the airboat tour, but kids should be at least 5 years old to fully enjoy the experience. It's generally safe for younger kids, though you'll want to make sure they can sit still and wear a life jacket. The elevated seats do provide a great view, which is perfect for kids who love nature!

Q: How does the weather affect the tour? What happens if it gets canceled?

A: If there's bad weather, the provider usually contacts you to discuss rescheduling options. They want to ensure safety first, so if it looks like heavy rain or storms, you might need to find a different date. Check their policy for specifics, but generally, they’re pretty accommodating.

Q: What should we wear for the airboat tour? Any specific advice?

A: Dress for the weather! Lightweight clothes are best, along with a hat and sunglasses. Since it can get windy on the airboat, I recommend wearing closed-toe shoes and maybe even a light jacket if it's cooler. Also, don’t forget sunscreen; you'll want to protect your skin while you enjoy the ride!

Just booked the Everglades Eco Airboat Tour! Any tips?

I just booked the Everglades Eco Airboat Tour with luxury transportation for my boyfriend's birthday! We’re so excited. I read that the airboat ride is only 45-50 minutes, and that you get snacks and Cuban coffee included. Has anyone done this? Any must-know tips before we go?

Everglades tour experience - totally worth it!

I went on the Everglades Eco Airboat Tour a couple weeks ago, and it was fantastic! The airboat is way more personal than those huge ones, and stopping at the islands with alligators was a highlight. Also, the guide was super knowledgeable about the Miccosukee culture. I’m thinking of gifting this to my parents next!
