Everglades National Park is unique on our planet. It is a wonderful, water-filled paradise that is best accessed by a quiet, slow-moving, shallow draft boat. One of the best loved residents of the Park are Bottle-Nosed Dolphins. Watching dolphin, in their natural habitat, interacting with each other, something that you will never forget. Our full-time, formally trained, Florida Master Naturalist guides will safely take you deep into the 10,000 Islands of the Everglades. While searching for dolphins, manatees and some of the 300 different species of birds that call the Park home, you will learn about the different Everglades ecosystem, its long history and rich culture. You will have fun and learn a lot. Don't forget your cameras! Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this boat tour?

A: There's no strict age limit for the Everglades tour, but it's generally recommended for kids ages 5 and up. The guides are great with children and make sure everyone is safe and comfortable. If your kids are adventurous and enjoy nature, they'll love this experience!

Q: What should we wear for the Everglades boat and walking tour?

A: You'll want to dress comfortably! Lightweight clothing, sunscreen, and a hat are key since it can get hot and sunny. Good walking shoes are a must for the walking part of the tour. Don't forget to bring a light jacket if you're sensitive to cooler air on the water!

Q: What happens if it rains? Do they cancel the tour?

A: They typically go out unless there are severe storms. Light rain doesn't usually stop the fun, but if conditions are unsafe, they will reschedule. It’s best to check the weather and call ahead if you're unsure!

Just did the Everglades tour and wow, what an experience!

I recently took the Everglades Small Group Guided Boating and Walking Expedition, and I can't recommend it enough! Our guide was super knowledgeable and we spotted dolphins and several bird species. The walking part was a nice break and allowed us to learn more about the ecosystem up close. Definitely bring your camera—lots of photo ops! Oh, and I suggest going in the morning because it gets hot later. Anyone else been?

Considering gifting the Everglades tour—thoughts?

Looking to gift this Everglades tour to my parents for their anniversary. They love nature and haven’t done anything like this before! What do you all think? Is it worth it? I’m a bit worried about them walking too much, but I believe they can handle light hiking. Any feedback would help!
