After you check-in to the Zion River’s Edge Adventures facility, you will begin your off-road adventure, on our private road, up to Zion Lava Ridge Mesa. You will enjoy never-before access and spectacular, up close, panoramic views of rarely seen areas of Zion National Park and the vast and beautiful Virgin River valley. Nothing can prepare you for the breathtaking panoramic views of West Temple, the Canaan Mountains and the towering Smithsonian Butte. Finally, your adventure will take you back in time, to the beautifully maintained ghost town of Grafton, last occupied in 1944. This historic Mormon settlement is nestled amidst orchards and farmland, providing peaceful surroundings of the Virgin River and a well-preserved cemetery with headstones dating back as far as the 1860s.

A: Kids are welcome on the Zion Jeep Tour, but they need to be at least 5 years old to ride. It's a great family experience, and my 7-year-old loved the views! Just make sure they can sit through the ride comfortably.

Q: What should we wear for the Jeep Tour? Is it bumpy?

A: Dress comfortably in layers since the weather can change quickly in Zion. Definitely wear closed-toe shoes! The ride can be bumpy, so I’d recommend something with good grip. You might also want sunglasses for the sun!

Wow, I just got back from the Jeep Tour at Zion and it was an absolute blast! The drive through the Lava Ridge Mesa was insane. The views of the Virgin River valley took my breath away. And Grafton Ghost Town? Such a cool spot with tons of history. If you’re thinking about gifting this experience, do it! You won’t regret it!
