Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the Jamestown to Yorktown tour? Is it mostly indoors or outdoors?

A: I'd recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes since you'll be outdoors quite a bit. The tour covers multiple sites, including the battlefield, which can involve some walking. Layers are a good idea too, since it can get hot in the summer but cooler near the water. And definitely check the weather before you go!

Q: Can we bring our own lunch for the tour, or is there a recommended place to eat?

A: Yes, you can definitely bring your own lunch! Many people do, and there are some great spots near the Jamestown Settlement for a picnic. If you prefer to eat out, there are a few local restaurants in Yorktown, but I’d suggest checking their hours beforehand since some places can be closed during off-peak seasons.

Q: Are there any age restrictions for kids on this tour? Would it be suitable for a 7-year-old?

A: There are no age restrictions for this tour! Kids will enjoy it, especially with the interactive exhibits at the American Revolution Museum. Just keep in mind, there may be some walking involved, but it's manageable. My 8-year-old had a blast!

Considering the Jamestown to Yorktown tour for my family!

Hey everyone! I’m thinking about booking the exclusive private tour for my family next month. The idea of exploring both Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Battlefield sounds awesome! I’ve heard the cannon firing at 3:00 PM is a must-see. Does anyone know if that’s really worth it? And is it easy to get around with kids? Thanks!

Just did the Jamestown to Yorktown tour - it was amazing!

I just got back from the exclusive private tour and wow, it was so informative! Our guide was super knowledgeable, and the kids were engaged the whole time. The glasshouse at Jamestown was fascinating, and seeing the Victory Monument in Yorktown was a powerful experience. Highly recommend this as a family day out!
