Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this tour? Trying to gift this to my teenage siblings.

A: There’s no strict age limit! James has hosted everyone from teens to seniors. Just make sure your siblings have some interest in history, as there’s a lot of info about Dutch New York. Also, it's a great way for younger folks to learn about the city’s roots.

Q: What should we wear for the tour? Is it mostly walking?

A: Definitely wear comfy shoes since there's quite a bit of walking involved! Dress for the weather too, as you'll be outside for part of the tour. Layers are a good idea; Brooklyn and Queens can get breezy!

Q: Can this tour be rescheduled if the weather's bad?

A: Yes! James is really flexible. If bad weather hits, you can easily reschedule for another day. Just be sure to contact him as soon as possible, and he’ll help you find another date.

Thinking of gifting the Dutch New York tour! Any tips?

Hey everyone! I’m considering giving this Brooklyn and Queens tour with James as a gift for my history-loving friend. I read that he shares a lot about the Dutch settlement and even has experience in archaeology. Sounds cool! Anyone done this yet? Just curious about what to expect and if it’s worth it.

Just did the Dutch New York tour! Here’s my experience!

Wow, I just finished James' tour about Dutch New York, and it was incredible! He really brings the history to life. We got to see some cool sites in Brooklyn and Queens, and he answered all our questions. It felt like a fun history class in the best way. Highly recommend it!
