Q&A
A: Yes, kids aged 8 and up can join the tour! Just keep in mind they need to be supervised by an adult. It’s a fantastic educational experience, and the beekeepers are super great with kids. They'll love the honey tasting too!
A: Wear light, long-sleeved clothes to protect yourself from bee stings, and comfortable shoes since you’ll be walking around the farm. They provide a safety briefing before you start, too. Just avoid any strong scents as bees are attracted to that!
A: If it rains, the tour might be rescheduled for safety reasons. They’ll notify you in advance if there’s a change. Make sure to check your emails after booking! The hives need a dry environment to keep the bees happy.

Thinking of gifting the Honey Farm tour - any thoughts?
I’m planning to give my sister a beekeeping tour at Big Island Bees for her birthday. She loves nature and has been really interested in sustainability lately. I just want to make sure it’s as cool as it sounds. Has anyone done this experience? What were your favorite parts?
Anyone else obsessed with honey after visiting this farm?
Just got back from the Big Island and visited the honey farm. OMG, it was amazing! I never realized there were so many types of honey. The raw honey they had was like nothing I’ve ever tasted. I bought a few jars to take home. Anyone else have recommendations for what to do there or what to try?
