Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this hiking tour? Can kids join?

A: Yes, kids can join the tour! However, keep in mind that the hike includes some narrow and rocky trails, so it's best for kids who are at least 10 years old and can handle moderate physical activity. Just make sure they’re properly equipped with good shoes and are used to walking on uneven surfaces. Bring lots of water and snacks to keep them energized!

Q: What should I wear for the hike? Is it tough?

A: I recommend wearing sturdy hiking shoes or boots, as the trails can be rocky and uneven. Layer your clothing since it might be cooler at the gorge but warmer while hiking. If it’s sunny, don’t forget sunscreen and a hat! The hike is moderate, so if you’re used to walking or hiking a bit, you should be fine.

Q: How does the weather affect the experience? What if it rains?

A: The tour runs unless there are severe weather warnings. If it’s just light rain, you can still go, but be prepared to get muddy! They recommend waterproof gear. However, if conditions are really bad, they might reschedule or cancel for safety reasons. It’s good to check with your guide the day before to confirm.

Hey everyone! I just booked the Explore Niagara River Gorge and Power Plant Ruins tour for next weekend. I’m super excited, but I’m a bit nervous about those 400 steps down. What's the best way to prepare? Also, any tips on what to bring along?

Who else loved the Power Plant Ruins hike?

I went on this hike a couple of weeks ago, and WOW! The power plant ruins are incredible. It's such a unique spot, and the history behind it is fascinating. The trails can be rough, but the views of the Niagara River make it all worth it. Highly recommend! Who else has done this?
