Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Fairbanks Autumn/Winter City Tour?

A: There's no strict age limit for the tour! It's suitable for all ages, but keep in mind that younger kids might get bored during the longer stops. Just make sure to dress them warmly since it can get chilly during the winter months. Also, the museums are pretty engaging for the whole family!

Q: Can I reschedule if something comes up?

A: Yes, you can reschedule your booking with 48 hours notice. Just contact the provider, 1st Alaska Outdoor School, and they’ll help you find a new date that works. It's pretty flexible, which is a plus!

Q: What's the weather like during the tour in winter? Should I dress up fancy?

A: Winter in Fairbanks can be really cold, so definitely dress in layers! Think warm jackets, hats, gloves, and maybe even thermal underwear. You won't need to be fancy at all – comfort is key. The tour is mostly about enjoying the sites and staying warm!

Thinking about gifting the Fairbanks Autumn/Winter City Tour! Any insights?

Hey everyone! I'm considering getting the Fairbanks Autumn/Winter City Tour for my parents who are coming to visit in December. It looks like it covers some cool spots like the Santa Claus House and the Museum of the North. Has anyone here done it? What’s the vibe like? Are the guides knowledgeable? I just want to make sure they have a great experience!

Just finished the Fairbanks Autumn/Winter City Tour - what a blast!

Wow, I just got back from the tour and I can’t recommend it enough! The Santa Claus House was a highlight for sure. The guide was super knowledgeable about Fairbanks and the history of the pipeline too. I loved that we got to visit the Museums as well. Make sure to wear warm clothes, though! It was freezing but so worth it.
