Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but kids of all ages can definitely enjoy this tour! The riverboat ride and the gold panning are especially fun for younger ones. Just keep an eye on them since it can be educational but also a bit adventurous. It's a great way to introduce them to Alaska's history and culture!
A: Yes, you can reschedule your tour! Just make sure to contact Alaska Wild Lights at least 48 hours in advance. They’re pretty flexible and will help you find a new date that works. Just check if there are any last-minute changes due to weather.
A: Definitely dress in layers! Even in summer, it can get chilly on the river. A light jacket is a good idea, especially if you're on the boat in the morning. Comfortable shoes are a must for walking around the Gold Dredge and Pioneer Park. Bring a hat and sunscreen too since you'll be outside a lot!

Thinking about the Fairbanks Full-Day Tour! Is it worth it?
Hey everyone! I'm planning to treat myself and my partner to the Fairbanks Full-Day Tour with Alaska Wild Lights. I've heard the riverboat ride is super scenic and the chance to pan for gold sounds amazing! We’re also excited to see the sled dogs. Just wanted to know if anyone has done it and if you think it lives up to the hype! How was the guide? Any tips?
Anyone else loved the gold panning part of the Fairbanks Tour?
I just got back from the Fairbanks Full-Day Tour, and OMG, the gold panning was so much fun! I actually found a few flakes and got to keep them. The whole day was super organized. I loved how we didn’t have to drive anywhere. I’d totally recommend it as a gift for someone who loves Alaska!
