Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Fairy Falls hike?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but it's best suited for kids who are at least 8 years old. The hike can be a bit strenuous in spots, so it really depends on your child's fitness level and interest in hiking. Just be sure to check with the guides if you're unsure about taking younger kids along!

Q: What should we wear for the hike? Is it cold in the morning?

A: Layering is key! Mornings can be chilly, especially near the falls, so wear a moisture-wicking base layer, a warm fleece, and a waterproof jacket. Don’t forget good hiking boots and maybe a hat and gloves, just in case. As the day heats up, you can always ditch a layer.

Q: If the weather turns bad, can we reschedule our hike?

A: Yes, if the weather conditions are unsafe, Wildland Trekking will definitely allow you to reschedule. Just make sure to contact them as soon as possible to find another date that works for you. They’re really great about accommodating changes!

Thinking of gifting the Fairy Falls hike for my parents' anniversary!

Hey everyone! I'm considering gifting my parents the Fairy Falls Day Hike Tour for their anniversary. They love nature but haven’t done much hiking lately. I think this could be a fun way for them to enjoy Yellowstone and learn a bit too. Has anyone done this tour? What did you think?

Just got back from the Fairy Falls hike - it was incredible!

Wow, I just finished the Fairy Falls hike yesterday and it was such an amazing experience! The views of Grand Prismatic Spring were breathtaking, and our guide, Mike, was fantastic. He shared so much cool history about the park. The picnic lunch was delicious too! Highly recommend for anyone considering it.
