Q&A

Q: How long is the tour and is there a lot of walking involved?

A: The tour's duration varies but expect around 4-6 hours total, including travel time between Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. There is some walking involved at both sites, especially around the architecture, but it's manageable for most. If you're concerned about mobility, just let the provider know in advance, and they can help accommodate you.

Q: Are there age restrictions for taking kids on this tour?

A: There's no strict age limit for kids, but it's best suited for ages 12 and up. Younger kids might get bored or have trouble with the walking. If you think your child can appreciate architecture or is curious, go for it! Just prepare for some discussions and a lot of walking.

Q: What should I wear for this experience? Any tips?

A: Comfortable walking shoes are a must! The tour involves a decent amount of walking around the properties. Dress in layers since the weather in Pittsburgh can change quickly, especially in the fall. You’ll want to be ready for some sun and possibly some chill!

Thinking about gifting the Fallingwater tour! Anyone tried it?

Hey all! I’m considering giving my dad the Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob experience for his birthday. He’s a huge fan of architecture. Do you think it’s worth it? What was your experience like? I just wanna make sure it’s a good gift choice. Thanks!

Just got back from the Fallingwater tour, wow!

I just did the Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob tour last weekend, and it was amazing! The private transport was super nice, and the narration was really informative. I learned so much about Frank Lloyd Wright’s vision. I’d highly recommend this if you’re into design or architecture!
