Looking for some whitewater while avoiding white-knuckle rapids? The 3 hour Upper Half Day trip is perfect for families, first-timers who are timid, or for those who aren’t strong swimmers – especially in June when we have high water. Enjoy fun rapids such as Hilarity Hole, Screaming Left, and Killer Fang. These rapids offer plenty of splashes and relatively easy navigation without the challenge of long rapids like the Mad Mile. This trip is packed with splashes and smiles!

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Gallatin River rafting trip? My son is 8 and I wanna make sure it's safe.

A: Yes, kids aged 6 and up can participate in the Upper Half Day trip! It’s designed to be family-friendly, so your 8-year-old should have a blast. Just be sure he’s comfortable with being in the water, and you’re all set for a fun day. Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes for after the trip!

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day we booked? Can we reschedule?

A: Totally understandable! If the weather is really bad, the company will usually let you reschedule without a penalty. They want everyone to have a great experience, so they’ll keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your trip. Just give them a call if you’re worried!

Q: What should we wear for the rafting trip? Like, are regular swimsuits okay?

A: Great question! You can totally wear your swimsuit, but I’d recommend wearing quick-dry clothes on top. The wetsuits they provide will keep you warm, but you might wanna wear something underneath that's comfortable. Also, water shoes or sandals are a good idea since you’ll be getting wet!

Just worried about the weather in June since we might hit some rainy days. Also, any tips on what to bring? I want everyone to have a great time!
