Q&A
A: Yes, they usually require kids to be at least 6 years old for the float trip. It’s a great family-friendly experience! Just make sure everyone wears a life jacket, and if it's really hot, some swim gear is a good idea. The guides are super accommodating and fun!
A: I’d recommend wearing quick-dry clothes, like swim shorts and a tank top. You’ll probably get splashed a bit! A hat and sunscreen are also must-haves since you’re out in the open. And don’t forget water shoes or old sneakers that can get wet!
A: Yes, rescheduling is generally possible if the weather isn’t cooperating. Just reach out to Far Flung Adventures a day or so before, and they’re really flexible. Just make sure to check their policies—sometimes they might have a cutoff time before the trip!

Just got back from the Scenic Float - What a view!
OMG, we did the Far Flung Adventures Scenic Half-Day Float last weekend, and it was incredible! The views of the Rio Grande and the cliffs were just breathtaking. Our guide was super knowledgeable. We even swam a bit in some calm spots. Definitely something I’d recommend as a gift for someone who loves the outdoors. Prices are reasonable too!
Considering the Float Trip for my partner's birthday!
I’m thinking of getting this float trip for my partner who loves adventure. I read it’s a scenic trip with Class II rapids which sounds perfect! I’m curious about how long the trip actually takes and if they provide everything we need. Anyone done this before?
