Enjoy a private and authentic market tour and cooking class in a local home with host BA, a public health professional. BA is a passionate home cook and baker, who loves trying new and healthy recipes. She is well travelled and has lived in a few cities, so she loves mixing international flavors with local, seasonal produce. Also, accommodating dietary needs is her specialty! As she is lactose-free, her son is vegetarian, and many of her friends are gluten free. Buy fresh, seasonal produce at the market and then join BA in her home kitchen for a 2 hour hands-on cooking class. After you cook, join BA and her sons (if they are home) at the dining table to relish the meal you helped prepare. • Guided visit of a local Farmer’s Market in Long Beach, CA • Hands-on cooking class in a local's home in Long Beach, CA • Introduction to American culture and cuisine • 100% private activity • Experience a farm to table experience • Lactose free, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options available

Q&A

Q: Is there a minimum age requirement for participants in the cooking class?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but I'd recommend it for ages 12 and up since it involves some cooking skills and knife work. BA is super welcoming, so if you have younger kids, just reach out to her to see if she can accommodate them! It's a great way for families to bond over cooking.

Q: How does the rescheduling process work if we can't make it on the original date?

A: BA is super flexible! If you need to reschedule, just give her a heads up at least 48 hours in advance. She'll work with you to find a new date that fits your schedule. It's all about making this experience enjoyable for you!

Q: What should we wear for the market and cooking class?

A: Wear something comfortable and casual since you'll be walking around the farmers' market and cooking. Closed-toe shoes are a good idea, especially in the kitchen. BA provides aprons, but you might want to wear something you don't mind getting a little messy!

Just booked the Farm-to-Table Experience in Long Beach!

I’m so excited! I found this Farm-to-Table experience with BA and it looks amazing! We’ll be visiting the Long Beach Farmers' Market and then cooking at her house. I’ve never done anything like this, but I love healthy cooking and meeting new people. I think it’ll be a perfect gift for my sister’s birthday. Anyone else tried this? What should I expect?

Anyone done the Farm-to-Table Experience with BA?

I’m thinking of gifting this to a friend who loves cooking, but I want to know if it’s worth the hype. How hands-on is the cooking class? And are the market tours actually fun?
