Q: Is there an age limit for the pottery class? Can kids join?

A: Yes! The class is great for kids ages 6 and up. It’s a fun way for families to explore their creativity together. Just check if they can handle the materials safely, and you might want to book a weekend since Fridays can be a bit more crowded!

Q: What's the parking situation like around MAS Mercado Art Studio?

A: There's street parking available, but it can get busy during the weekends. I recommend arriving a bit early or using a rideshare service if you can. There’s also a lot a few blocks away that’s usually not too full.

Q: How does the glazing and firing process work? Do we get to pick colors?

A: Great question! After you shape your pottery, you’ll choose from a selection of glazes. They fire your pieces after the session, and you can usually pick them up a week later. It’s such a cool process to see your art come to life!

I just got back from the First Fridays Hand Building Pottery Class and wow, what a great time! The studio in Fort Lauderdale has such a friendly atmosphere, and I loved the hands-on aspect. I was worried I’d be terrible at it, but the instructors were so supportive. Can't wait to pick up my glazed piece next week!
