On our late morning dive trip, we visit two shallow reefs (average depth of 30′ to 40′ / 9m-12m). We will see hundreds, even thousands of colorful reef fish. More than 25% are endemic to Hawaii, meaning they are only found here. There is a lot of great coral too, with 40% of our corals endemic to Hawaii. Of course, we can never guarantee specific wildlife sightings. But there is a great chance you will see other marine life such as eels, sea turtles, rays, octopuses, and dolphins. We see turtles on over 85% of our dives!

Q: Is there an age limit for the introductory scuba dive?

A: Yes, participants need to be at least 10 years old to join the introductory scuba dive. Kids under 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign a waiver. It's a great way for families to bond in the beautiful waters of Oahu!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the dive?

A: If the weather conditions aren't safe for diving, the provider will reschedule your dive for another day. They prioritize safety, so it's good to know they have your back in case of rain or strong winds!

Q: What should we wear for the dive? Any tips on gear?

A: Wear a swimsuit underneath and bring a towel. The dive shop provides all the scuba gear you'll need. If you have a wetsuit, you can bring it, but usually, you won't need it for the shallow dive. Just remember to apply reef-safe sunscreen!

I just came back from the dive in Oahu, and it was incredible! We saw a ton of fish, and I couldn't believe how close we got to the sea turtles. The instructors were super friendly and made everything easy for beginners. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for an unforgettable experience!
