Asheville is known for Beer and Nature! We combine the two. This is a fun trip to bar hop by raft. We will casually float down river and stop 3 times some local bars and breweries. I will have a cooler with ice and you are welcome to bring your own beverages along. This tour follows along the river and requires climbing up some muddy river banks and descending stairs. We will relax and enjoy cold beverages and river views. We will stop at The Wedge Brewery at the Foundation and grab some food from the food truck. We will end at New Belgium Brewery. I recommend parking at Hominy Creek River Park and then taking a ride share to retrieve your vehicle when you are safe to drive. You can leave your vehicle overnight there if you need to. We will meet you by the stairs to the river. Other things to note: Must be comfortable with water. Kids at least 15 can accompany their parents but obviously will not be able to consume alcohol. Gratuity for the guide is appreciated.

Q&A

Q: How muddy are the river banks we need to climb up? Is it tough for non-hikers?

A: The river banks can get pretty muddy, especially after rain, but they’re manageable for most people. Just wear shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty, and a good grip helps. If you're careful and take your time, even first-timers should be fine!

Q: Can kids come along? What's the age limit?

A: Yes, kids 15 and up can join, but they can't drink alcohol. It's a great way for families to enjoy the outdoors together! Just make sure they're comfortable in the water and can handle the river banks.

Q: What's the best way to get to the meeting point? Is parking easy?

A: Parking at Hominy Creek River Park is your best bet! It’s free, and you can leave your car overnight if needed. But I’d recommend using a rideshare to get back after the tour since you’ll be enjoying some drinks. The meeting point is super easy to find by the stairs.

Just did the Floating Bar Crawl Tour in Asheville!

I just got back from the Floating Bar Crawl Tour and it was such a blast! We floated down the river, stopped at The Wedge Brewery for some amazing food, and the views were stunning. I brought my own drinks, which was nice, but the guide was super chill and made sure we had everything we needed. Just be ready for some muddy banks! Definitely recommend it for a fun group outing!

Thinking of getting the Floating Bar Crawl as a gift for my brother!

I want to surprise my brother with the Floating Bar Crawl Tour since he loves craft beer and the outdoors. Is it good for beginners? I’m worried he won’t enjoy the climbing part. Any thoughts?
