Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year for this photography tour in Haines?

A: The summer months, especially late June through August, are ideal for this tour. You'll have the longest daylight hours and the best chances of seeing wildlife. Fall is also beautiful with the changing colors, but it can be a bit chilly and you might need warmer gear.

Q: Are there any age limits for this tour? Can kids join?

A: Kids are totally welcome on this tour! It’s a great family activity, just keep in mind that younger kids might need a bit of extra supervision, especially when it comes to the wildlife. The guide is super patient and loves sharing knowledge with everyone!

Q: What should I wear for this photography tour?

A: Dress in layers! The weather can change quickly in Haines. I’d recommend waterproof shoes and a light jacket, even if it’s sunny. Bring a hat and sunscreen, too, since you’ll be outdoors for a while. And don’t forget your camera gear!

Just did the Focus on Haines tour - amazing experience!

I went on the Focus on Haines Private Nature Tour last month and it was absolutely fantastic! The guide was super knowledgeable about the local wildlife and culture. We saw bears, eagles, and even got to take stunning photos of the mountains. I learned so much about my camera settings, which was a huge plus for me as an amateur photographer. If you're thinking about getting this as a gift, do it! You won’t regret it!
