We are an Austin, TX-based global custom event design company offering scavenger hunts and other events in 300+ cities in North America and beyond. Our specially hand-crafted adventures are equal parts tour, creative challenge, detective hunt, and social experiment! Guests get to discover in an alternate reality our favorite hidden gems off the beaten trail and creatively interpret fun art, history, and culture clues - for points! They get to enjoy fame and glory while appearing on our website’s international leaderboard, no matter what their score. They get to essentially race other teams in other cities, even if they don’t have competitors who have signed up in their city that day. A: There’s no strict age limit for the scavenger hunt, which makes it great for families! Kids can totally join in the fun, but I’d recommend having an adult with them to help with some of the clues and challenges. It’s designed to be engaging for all ages, so everyone can enjoy exploring Folly Beach together!

Q: How does the leaderboard work? Do you get a score no matter how many teams are playing?

A: Yes! You’ll get a score based on how many clues you solve, and you can see how you rank against teams in other cities too! It’s a fun way to add some competition to the experience. Even if no one else is signed up in Folly Beach, your score still counts against other participants. It keeps the excitement going!

Q: What happens if it rains? Can you reschedule the scavenger hunt?

A: If it rains, you can totally reschedule! Alley Kat Adventures is pretty flexible with that. Just reach out to them through their contact info, and they’ll help you find a better time. It’s designed to be fun in good weather for sure, but they understand plans change.
