Q&A
A: There's no strict minimum age, but it's really best for kids 10 and up, especially since there's a 900 ft elevation gain. Younger kids might find it challenging! Make sure they can handle the hike's terrain, and it might be a fun bonding experience if they love nature.
A: Definitely wear comfortable hiking shoes with good grip since the terrain can be uneven. Layers are key too, as it can get chilly in the morning. And don’t forget a hat and sunscreen if it's sunny, because you'll be exposed for part of the hike!
A: Weather can definitely impact the hike, especially if it’s stormy or very windy. They might cancel last minute for safety, but you'll usually get a refund or reschedule option. I’d recommend checking the forecast a day or two before, just to be safe!

Thinking of gifting the Forest Park Urban Hiking Tour—any tips?
I’m considering this tour for my sister’s birthday! She loves nature but isn’t the most experienced hiker. I read it's a 5-mile hike with about 900 ft elevation. Should I go for it? Any tips on what to bring or how it went for you? I just want her to have a great experience!
Just finished the Forest Park Urban Hiking Tour—what an experience!
Wow, I just got back from the Urban Hiking Tour, and it was a blast! The trail through Forest Park is so beautiful, and I loved ending at the Rose Garden. The tour guide was super knowledgeable, and the elevation was definitely challenging but totally worth it! I’d recommend wearing sturdy shoes and bringing a good camera for pics!
