Before your wine tasting, a private driver and Animal Sanctuary Animal Specialist will shuttle you from the Grapetown Vineyard and Farm Tasting Room via your Brand New Zebra Tram on a behind the scenes tour of your exotic wildlife and ranch operations. You will see and possibly feed exotic animals like Kangaroos, Camels, Zebras, Alpacas, Bison and Longhorn! We also raise Boer Goats, Ponies, Nigerian Dwarf, African Pygmy and Saanen Dairy Goats, and even some Donkeys. Please remember to tip your Tour Guide as they truly work very hard and appreciate knowing you enjoyed your tour.

Q: Is there an age limit for the safari tour and wine tasting?

A: There isn't a strict age limit for the safari tour itself, but keep in mind that wine tasting is only for guests 21 and over. Kids are welcome on the tour, and it could be a great family activity! Just check with the venue beforehand if you’re bringing younger kids, as they may have some specific guidelines.

Q: What should we wear for the safari tour? Is it outdoors?

A: You’ll definitely want to wear comfy outdoor clothes! Since it’s an outdoor safari, layers are great. Closed-toe shoes are a must, especially if you’re feeding the animals. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat if it’s sunny out!

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather’s really bad, they allow rescheduling! Just give them a call at least 24 hours in advance. Their customer service is pretty accommodating, so you should be good to go. Keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your tour.

Just did the Fredericksburg Safari Tour and it was AMAZING!

I took my partner on the Fredericksburg Safari Tour with wine tasting last weekend and wow, what a blast! The zebra tram was super cool, and we got to feed kangaroos and see camels up close. The wine tasting afterward was a perfect way to unwind. The whole experience felt so unique, especially with the exotic animals. Totally recommend it as a gift or just a fun date!
