Q&A
A: No specific age limit, but keep in mind that younger kids might get bored with the historical details. It’s a lot of walking too! I’d say it’s best for kids who are at least 8 or 9, but you know your child best. They’ll also need to be able to keep up with the pace.
A: Comfortable walking shoes are a must! The trail has some cobblestone areas, so make sure you’re ready for that. Dress in layers since Boston weather can change, and a light jacket might be good if you're going in the morning or late afternoon. Bring a water bottle too!
A: Yes, you can reschedule! Just make sure to check their cancellation policy. Usually, they allow rescheduling up to 24 hours in advance, but it’s best to confirm with Opatrip when you book. They’re pretty flexible if you reach out.

Just did the Freedom Trail tour—what an experience!
I went on the Freedom Trail private walking tour last week and it was amazing! Our guide was super knowledgeable and we started at the Robert Gould Shaw Memorial. Walking through Granary Burying Ground was so cool, and I loved learning about all the Revolutionary War history. We even got to see the Paul Revere House! It was around 2.5 hours long, but it flew by. Highly recommend for anyone into history or looking for a unique gift!
Thinking of gifting the Freedom Trail tour—thoughts?
I’m considering buying the Freedom Trail walking tour for my parents' anniversary. They love history and visiting Boston! Is it worth it? Do the guides really make a difference? I’m just worried if it's too much walking for them. Thanks!
