Q&A

Q: Is this tour suitable for kids? What's the age limit?

A: Yes, this tour is great for kids! There aren't any specific age limits, but keep in mind that some areas might have uneven terrain. If they can handle short hikes, they should be fine. Just make sure to bring snacks and water for them, as it can get a bit long.

Q: How's the parking situation if we drive ourselves?

A: If you're on the cruise, they'll pick you up right at the port, so no worries there! But if you’re driving, there’s parking at Volcanoes National Park, which can fill up fast. Aim to get there early, especially on weekends. Plus, the entrance fee is included in the tour price!

Q: What should we wear for the tour? Is it rugged or casual?

A: Dress comfortably! You’ll want sturdy shoes for walking, especially at places like Thurston Lava Tube. Light layers are best since it can get warm during the day but cooler in the evening at the craters. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat!

Considering the Private Volcanoes and Waterfalls Tour as a gift!

Hey everyone! I’m thinking about getting the Private Volcanoes and Waterfalls Tour for my parents who are visiting the Big Island next month. They love nature and have never seen a volcano up close! I just want to make sure it’s not too strenuous. Anyone done this tour? What did you think?

Just got back from the Volcano and Waterfalls Tour!

OMG, I just got back from the Private Volcanoes and Waterfalls Tour, and it was epic! Kilauea Crater is something else in person! We had a small group, so it felt really personal. Don’t miss Rainbow Falls! Bring your camera, and don’t forget to hydrate. Highly recommend!
