We love guiding, and we love the land. There's more to our tours than a general speech, script, or act. Each guide is different, and one that you'll enjoy spending time with throughout the day. Our curiosities are nurtured, ideas embraced and we are an employee-based company. You'll notice the difference very shortly after the tour begins because we are as excited to take you on a journey.

Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids on the Badlands Winter Expedition?

A: There's no hard age limit, but I’ve seen kids around 8 and older really enjoy it. Just keep in mind that the terrain can be rough in places and the weather can be chilly. It’s best for kids who are used to outdoor activities. If you’re not sure, you could always call My XO Adventures for more specific recommendations.

Q: What should we wear for the Frozen Frontier tour? Is there any special gear needed?

A: Definitely dress in layers! You’ll want a good base layer, a warm mid-layer, and a waterproof outer layer. Also, don't forget gloves, a hat, and sturdy boots. They provide snacks and drinks, but if you have special dietary needs, bring your own snacks just in case!

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather doesn't cooperate?

A: Yes! They’re pretty flexible with rescheduling due to weather. If it’s too snowy or windy, just reach out to them, and they’ll help you find another date. Just make sure you give them a call ahead of time for the best options.

Just booked the Badlands Winter Expedition! Any tips?

I’m so excited for the Frozen Frontier tour in Rapid City! I've heard great things about the guides at My XO Adventures, and I can’t wait for the snacks and photography included. I booked it for my husband’s birthday. Anyone have tips on what to bring or what to expect? Also, how cold does it really get out there?

Who’s done the Badlands tour? Is it worth it?

I’m considering gifting the Badlands Winter Expedition for my parents’ anniversary. They love the outdoors, but I’m worried about the cold. What’s it really like? Any feedback from those who've gone?
